Introduction
In 2017, Zion National Park shuttles estimated more than 6.3 million riders. This means that counting the number of people boarding and off boarding shuttles is crucial to creating a good visitor experience.
Zion Shuttle Boarding App makes it easier for shuttle drivers to track the amount passengers boarding and off boarding at each stop.
Problem
Before Zion Shuttle Boarding existed, drivers would count passengers with clickers and then write down their numbers on paper to keep track. They would then have to go to a computer and type in this information at the end of the day.
Solution
Now, instead of using clickers to count people, counters have been installed on shuttle buses and when there is a bicycle or wheelchair that needs to be counted, shuttle drivers can add those as well.
